Thanks to the fabulous Erica Truncale for taking video for us last week at Precint. Here are a few songs from my Tori Amos set featuring: Brandon Erdos on drums, Mike DeLisle on bass, Mike Ward on guitar, and Sarah Bortner and Sophie Innerfield on vocals.
This is tomorrow night, and I couldn’t be more excited! I swore I was taking a break from cover shows, but I just couldn’t resist this:
It’s been an amazing and nostalgic experience preparing; allowing me to delve deeply into all my high school (and college…and early 20′s…and last year’s…) angst. In the end, I’ve come up with a 9 song set list that spans her career, but focuses on the early albums, especially Little Earthquakes. I’ve also put together a band I’m thrilled about for the second half of the set, featuring Brandon Erdos (The Luxury, Parlour Bells), Mike Ward (St. Helena), and Mike DeLisle (Highly Personal Trash, Old New England Weather), and I’m bringing in some of my favorite (and most Tori-obsessed) singers for back-ups, Sarah Bortner and Sophie Innerfield (frontwoman of HPT). Total pros, all of them, and I can’t wait to pull the full set together tomorrow.
